Iran’s private sector and companies offering technical and engineering services are ready to construct roads and power plants in Ecuador, President Rouhani said at a meeting with the South American country’s new ambassador to the Islamic Republic on Saturday.

Iran sees no obstacle to the expansion of ties with Ecuador, the president added, calling for efforts to boost commercial, economic, cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
The Ecuadorian diplomat, Germán Alejandro Ortega Almeida, for his part, highlighted the broad commonalities between Tehran and Quito, stressing that the two sides will keep enhancing the friendly ties.

President Rouhani has repeatedly underlined that promoting relations with Latin American countries is among the Islamic Republic’s principled policies.
