Nujaba Movement Warns against US Plot to Relocate Terrorists to Iraq

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement, a major Shiite resistance group, said the US has been insisting on “transferring” senior Daesh commanders and other terrorists from eastern Syria to neighboring Iraq.

“Washington is insisting on the implementation of a plot to return the terrorists to Iraq by transferring a large number of Daesh commanders and militants from the eastern Euphrates and other parts of Syria,” the movement said in an online statement, the Middle East Monitor reported.

It added, “We stress that the Islamic Resistance of Iraq is monitoring all your destructive plots to prevent the dangers which threaten the Iraqi provinces.”

A video went viral on Monday showing the moment members of the Daesh terror group were being transferred from Syria to Iraq.

Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), also known as Hashd al-Sha’abi forces, said the forces had captured the video.

Daesh has intensified its attacks in Iraq amid Baghdad’s call on the US to pull out its forces from the Arab country.
