According to Palestinian media reports, the killing occurred as part of continuing Israeli regime incursions across the West Bank, which have escalated alongside the war on Gaza.

In an official statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said the victim was identified as 24-year-old Saeed Nail Saeed al-Sheikh, who was shot dead by Israeli regime soldiers during their attack on Jericho.

Meanwhile, medical sources in the West Bank reported that six Palestinians were injured during the same Israeli assault on the eastern West Bank city.

According to local sources, three Palestinian youths were wounded by live fire during clashes that erupted after Israeli regime forces stormed Jericho.

In addition, a Palestinian woman was injured after being run over by a military vehicle operated by Israeli soldiers, local sources said.

In a related development, local sources said Israeli forces raided a house on Palestine Street in central Jericho, an assault that left two residents wounded.

Further south, Israeli forces also stormed the al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.

Local reports said Israeli soldiers fired barrages of tear gas canisters and stun grenades at Palestinian homes, causing dozens of suffocation cases.

According to the same sources, Israeli regime forces at gunpoint forced shop owners to close their businesses, searched multiple homes and damaged property.

Separately, in Bethlehem governorate in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces raided the town of Tuqu’ southeast of the city and deployed around the municipal building.

Following the deployment, violent clashes broke out between Israeli regime soldiers and Palestinian youths, with the forces firing live ammunition, stun grenades and tear gas.

In another incident, two Palestinians were injured in an attack by Israeli settlers in the Shalal al-Auja area north of Jericho, Palestinian sources said.

According to official Palestinian figures, since the start of the Israeli regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, nearly 1,120 Palestinians have been killed in attacks by Israeli regime forces and settlers in the West Bank.

The same data show that about 12,000 Palestinians have been wounded and more than 21,000 detained during Israeli regime operations across the occupied territory.
