Highlighting the Iranian armed forces’ recent operation, Major General Amir Hatami said on Sunday that the Air Force aircraft managed to bomb the enemy positions.
The Khatam Al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters also continues to defend the country’s airspace and has had good success in downing enemy aircraft, he stated, noting that the Navy is also acting powerfully in defending the Iranian maritime borders.
He said all of these measures are being carried out based on plans prepared and exercised before, stressing that they will continue until the full punishment of the enemy is completed.
Elsewhere, Major General Hatami offered condolences on the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, saying the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, like other Armed Forces and all the Iranians are mourning the tragic loss today.
Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred in a Saturday attack by criminal US-Israeli forces.
Ayatollah Khamenei led Iran and the Muslim Ummah for 37 years since the demise of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in 1989.
The Iranian Armed Forces have responded to the US-Israeli aggression by launching massive missile and drone strikes on Israeli-occupied territories and American bases in the region.
