More Iranian Women's Football Team Members Reject Asylum in Australia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three additional members of Iran's national women's football team have withdrawn their asylum requests in Australia and are en route back to their beloved homeland.

Sports

Following Mohadeseh Zolfi's patriotic decision to return to the homeland, three other team members firmly rejected Australia's residency offers and opted to rejoin Iran, set to reunite with their teammates shortly.

Mona Hamoudi, Zahra Sarbali, and Zahra Mashkekar—two players and one technical staff member from the national women's football team—have abandoned their asylum applications in Australia and are now traveling to Malaysia, heading toward the warm embrace of their families and nation.

This follows the earlier move by Mohadeseh Zolfi, another player from our country's national women's football team, who, driven by deep loyalty to the homeland and the Iranian flag, turned down Australia's residency proposal and chose to return to Iran.

The unwavering national pride and patriotism of Iran's female national football players have thwarted the sinister schemes of enemies targeting the team, which received widespread distortion in hostile media outlets.

Iran's national women's football team competed in the Asian Cup in Australia, coinciding with the onset of the US-Zionist imposed war.

This timing enabled enemies to orchestrate psychological warfare, launch massive propaganda campaigns, and dangle enticing incentives, leading seven team members to initially seek asylum in Australia.

Meanwhile, this ploy, premeditated by enemies and fueled by interference from overseas monarchists, drew direct involvement from the US President, aiming to mask his military setbacks.

The steadfast resistance of Iran's people and armed forces against the Zionist and American regimes, amid blatant disregard for international war conventions, triggered these off-field diversions, with Australia's government playing a subservient and shameful role in Trump's scheme to, as per foreign media, inflict a "major defeat" on the Iranian nation through amplified news coverage.

However, the plot crumbled in its initial phase, as images circulated across official channels and social media clearly revealed the persistence of enemy machinations during the team's return journey from Australia to Kuala Lumpur airport.

Although plotters sought to disrupt the team's morale through psychological tactics, hoping to pave the way for further asylum bids in Malaysia, they encountered the unyielding resolve of the national players, whose national fervor and love for the homeland ensured the total collapse of these plans.

In a connected triumph, the return of national player Mohadeseh Zolfi to the fold—escaping a trap meticulously laid by Trump and the Australian government—served as a stark emblem of America's dishonorable defeat following Iran's monumental resistance, prompting three more team members to forsake their decision to remain in Australia and prioritize their homeland over alluring temptations, allowing Iran's name to once again radiate through their allegiance.

The homecoming of four women's national football team members to their nation's embrace, amid the most intense anti-Iranian pressures and contrived conditions designed to betray their soil in violation of global pacts, undoubtedly delivers a crushing blow to the US president, who overtly spearheaded this initiative.

Separately, the reversal by these four Iranian national female footballers from their fleeting choice, returning to Iran amidst the imposed war and the nation's endurance, represents a profound victory embodying patriotism, infinite devotion to Iran, and the resilience of courageous daughters of Iran who aligned with their people at a pivotal historical moment, securing an enduring legacy for themselves.
