“The offensive and defensive operations of the Iranian Armed Forces are continuing with great strength,” the spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters said.
“We warn the enemy that you have made a grave mistake by attacking the energy infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the response to that is currently underway and is not yet complete,” he added.
“If this is repeated, the next attacks on your energy infrastructure and that of your allies will not cease until their complete destruction, and our response will be much more severe than tonight's attacks,” the spokesman warned the enemies, referring to a retaliatory strike the IRGC launched against oil facilities associated with the United States in the region on Wednesday night.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) stated that Iran had no intention of escalating the conflict to oil facilities, nor did it wish to harm the economies of friendly neighboring countries, adding, “However, following the enemy’s aggression against energy infrastructures, the situation has effectively entered a new phase of warfare. The necessity to defend Iran's infrastructure has compelled the IRGC to target energy facilities linked to the United States and American stakeholders.”
The US and the Zionist regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
