In a message marking the anniversary of the Islamic Republic Day and on the eve of Nature Day, the Leader praised the Iranian people for intertwining this year’s Nowruz celebrations with epic determination and dignity.
He urged citizens in cities and villages nationwide to take part in planting fruit-bearing trees from Nature Day through the end of spring, particularly during the month of Farvardin, with coordination and support from relevant authorities. The Leader described such efforts as valuable steps toward reconstruction and building a bright future for the country, especially in light of ongoing aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime, which he said has extended even to natural and environmental spaces in Iran.
The Leader also referred to the killing of schoolchildren, describing it as a brutal act by “child-killing” enemies. He stated that the Iranian people would respond by planting saplings in memory of all martyrs, particularly those of the “third imposed war,” expressing hope that these saplings would grow into fruitful trees symbolizing enduring life and national strength.
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
