In a meeting with Araqchi, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Faramarz Bemani conveyed the appreciation and greetings of the commander and personnel of the Navy—particularly the crews of Dena and Bushehr vessels—to the foreign minister and Iranian embassies in Sri Lanka and India.
The commander highlighted the firm determination of Iranian naval forces to continue the path of fallen comrades in protecting the country’s security and dignity.
For his part, Araqchi paid tribute to the late commanders and fighters of the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps who were martyred while defending the country against the recent US-Israeli war of aggression.
The foreign minister noted that the power and readiness of the Armed Forces constitute a strong support for the diplomatic apparatus in protecting national interests.
Araqchi also honored the memory of the fallen sailors of the Dena destroyer, who were martyred in a US criminal attack in the international waters off the coasts of Sri Lanka.
