As Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia, a representative of the kingdom’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that the first group of Iranian pilgrims will arrive in Medina on April 25 and will proceed to Mecca in complete safety and peace of mind to perform the Hajj rituals with comfort and security.

The Saudi official added that Saudi Arabia is welcoming the guests of the Masjid al-Haram with great enthusiasm and hospitality.

The Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization representative also said that Saudi officials, in several contacts with Iranian authorities, have repeatedly emphasized that they are welcoming pilgrims from across the Islamic world, particularly from Iran, with open arms, and that all necessary arrangements regarding accommodation, food supply, and land, rail, and air transportation have been completed.

According to Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, around 30,000 Iranian pilgrims are expected to participate in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, with departures beginning next week. The organization has confirmed that the pilgrimage dispatch is being carried out with the approval of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Iranian pilgrims, who will remain in Saudi Arabia for more than a month, are expected to spend six nights and seven days of their stay in the city of Medina.

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has not yet issued an official statement regarding whether Iranian pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia by land or air.
