In addition to polio vaccination efforts, 16.6 million doses of measles vaccines and 1.6 million doses of Penta-3 vaccines were administered during the same period, the report said, Xinhua reported.

Afghanistan remains one of the few countries where polio is still endemic, and nationwide vaccination drives continue with support from international organizations despite ongoing challenges such as limited healthcare access and economic difficulties.
