Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on Monday, Araqchi said he had a very good and lengthy meeting with the Russian leader, noting that the talks lasted for more than an hour and a half.
He stated that all issues were discussed in detail, including bilateral relations, regional developments, and the war of aggression imposed by the United States and the Zionist regime.
Araqchi added that cooperation between Iran and Russia was also addressed, with very good ideas put forward.
There are currently very good grounds for cooperation between Iran and Russia, he said.
The foreign minister said Putin has stated that not only Russia, but the entire world is now admiring the Iranian people for their resilience in the face of the US and for their victory in an unequal and unjust war.
Araqchi expressed gratitude for the support of “Russian friends” during the war and emphasized that Iran is determined to continue its strategic relations and partnership with Russia under the new circumstances.
