In a separate phone call on Saturday, Araqchi and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi discussed regional and international developments.
The Iranian foreign minister briefed his Japanese counterpart on the ongoing efforts and initiatives aimed at ending the war imposed on Iran.
