Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister Abdul Wahid Abu Rass said on Friday that Sana’a is closely monitoring the ongoing negotiations in Cairo on the Gaza ceasefire.
The Yemeni official emphasized that the continuous pressure on the Palestinian side to disarm, which is the most important element of its power, is in line with serving the interests of the Zionist enemy and completing the project of the full occupation of the Gaza Strip by this regime.
While the Palestinian side adheres to the ceasefire agreement, the Zionist regime continues its genocidal crimes against the people of Gaza and the destruction of this strip every day, he deplored.
The Yemeni official stressed that the occupying regime, through daily war crimes and through so-called mediators and guarantors, is trying to pressure the Palestinian side to achieve in the political arena what it could not achieve on the battlefield and to push the Palestinian people towards surrender.
But after the great sacrifices of the Palestinian people, including the martyrdom and injury of nearly half a million people in the Gaza Strip alone, most of whom are women and children, the Zionist occupiers cannot achieve their sinister goals, he stated.
“We will prove to the criminal Zionist enemy, its supporters, accomplices and all those who participate in its crimes that the Palestinian people are invincible, regardless of the sacrifices.”
He added that until the destruction of the criminal Zionist regime and the establishment of the state of Palestine in all its territory with Jerusalem al-Quds as its capital, Yemen will stand with all its capabilities and resources by the side of Palestine and its people.
