In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Qalibaf and Berri reviewed political and field-related developments linked to the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US, particularly provisions related to ending the war on Lebanon.
The two speakers stressed that the US, along with guarantor parties to the memorandum of understanding and the international community, must assume responsibility for ensuring that the Israeli regime ends its war on Lebanon.
They also called for an immediate halt to the destruction of Lebanese villages and emphasized the need to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty, Al Mayadeen reported.
Berri and Qalibaf further urged the immediate withdrawal of Israeli troops from all occupied Lebanese territories, highlighting that continued presence in these areas represents a violation of sovereignty and must be addressed as part of any agreement implementation process.
