Qalibaf Meets Business Community on Iran-China Cooperation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who has been appointed as Iran’s special representative for China affairs, held a meeting with members of the Chamber of Commerce in order to enhance sustainable economic cooperation between Tehran and Beijing.

The meeting was held as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Iran-China relations and followed a session held two weeks earlier between the Iranian administration’s economic ministers and Iran’s special representative for China affairs.

The Wednesday’s gathering marked Qalibaf’s second meeting focused on advancing ties between Tehran and Beijing.

Attended by a large number of Iranian economic actors, the meeting provided a platform for participants to present their views, demands, criticisms, and proposals regarding the implementation process of Iran-China relations.

The discussions focused on mechanisms for establishing and expanding sustainable economic cooperation, achieving tangible and practical outcomes in bilateral relations, Iran’s role in the Belt and Road Initiative, and other related issues.
