Speaking on the matter, Baqaei dismissed reports circulated by certain media outlets regarding the closure of the strategic waterway and stressed that maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is continuing normally.
The spokesperson said the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in line with the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cessation of War dated June 18, 2026, have implemented the necessary measures to ensure the safe transit of commercial vessels through the strait.
He added that shipping operations in the waterway are currently proceeding without interruption.
