Guests from about 100 Countries to Attend Martyred Leader’s Farewell Ceremony

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said high-ranking officials and political figures from around 100 countries will participate in the farewell ceremony of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Friday.

Esmaeil Baqaei said in an interview with IRIB on Thursday that the farewell ceremony and funeral of the martyred Leader are considered a historic and very important event not only for the Iranian nation, but also for the people of the region, Muslims and free people of the world.

He added that at Friday’s ceremony, Iran will host a large number of officials, political figures and popular groups.

The ceremony of paying respects to the martyred Leader will begin at 8 am tomorrow, with the participation of a large number of personalities and popular groups, and will continue until about noon, he noted.

Subsequently, from about 1:30 pm to 2 pm, high-ranking officials of countries and political figures will attend the ceremony, Baqaei stated.

“In total, we will have guests from about 100 countries, including dignitaries, heads of state, parliament speakers, foreign ministers or special representatives of governments,” he added.
