Speaking to Tasnim on Monday, Mohammad Esmaeil Tavakkoli, head of the Medical Relief and Emergency Committee for the farewell and funeral ceremonies of the martyred Leader, said 14,168 participants in the funeral procession have received the medical and emergency assistance they required.
He noted that 16 people were transferred to medical centers and hospitals for further treatment.
"Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported during the ceremony so far," Tavakkoli said.
He added that during Monday's operations, Tehran Province's air ambulance transferred a patient suffering from an acute heart condition and a pregnant woman from the funeral procession to hospitals for specialized medical care.
The official also stated that five subway stations were designated as railroad emergency centers during the ceremony to provide medical assistance to mourners and other service recipients.
The main funeral procession for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution began in Tehran on Monday morning, with large crowds taking to the streets from the early hours to participate in the historic ceremony.
The funeral ceremonies officially began on July 3, when foreign dignitaries and official delegations from across the region and beyond arrived in Tehran to pay tribute to the late Leader.
On July 4 and 5, millions of mourners attended the farewell ceremonies at Tehran's Grand Musalla. Funeral prayers for the martyred Leader and members of his family were held at the Musalla on July 5 with the participation of senior Iranian officials.
Following Tuesday's ceremonies in Qom, funeral and tribute events will continue in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala on Wednesday at the request of Iraqi religious and political leaders, before concluding with the burial of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad on Thursday.
Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred in a joint US-Israeli strike on Tehran on February 28, 2026, at the outset of a 40-day war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His assassination triggered widespread condemnation and mourning across Iran and the Axis of Resistance, with participants in the funeral ceremonies carrying red flags as a declaration that the demand for justice and retribution for the martyred Leader remains alive.
