Commander: Enemy Dares Not Land Forces on Iranian Shores

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Deputy Chief of Iran's Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said the US failed to carry out plans to deploy forces on Iran’s southern coasts during the recent war, stressing that the country’s Armed Forces are prepared to confront any aggression.

Speaking in a televised interview, Sayyari said US President Donald Trump’s claims about destroying Iran’s Navy and the naval forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) were aimed at paving the way for the deployment of troops on Iran’s Makran coasts and near the Strait of Hormuz.

“The deployment of enemy forces on Iran’s shores is a red line for the Iranian nation; unless 90 million Iranians are dead, the enemy will not be able to land forces on our soil,” he stated.

The commander added that the enemy had designed plans to achieve that objective and attempted to implement them, but “was unable to do so.”

The senior commander said Trump’s claims about the destruction of Iran’s naval capabilities were also part of the same strategy. He noted that the US president had spoken of seizing Kharg Island, deploying forces on the shores of the Strait of Hormuz, and positioning destroyers in the strategic waterway, but “none of these claims materialized.”

Rear Admiral Sayyari said Washington had wrongly assumed that Iran was similar to countries where the US had been able to carry out military actions, citing Venezuela and other cases as examples.

The commander questioned why the US had not dared to land even a single Marine on Iranian shores, saying Iran’s military strength had deterred such a move.

Sayyari warned that any such move would lead to severe consequences for the aggressor.

“The enemy knows that if it commits such a foolish act, it will enter a hell from which there will be no way out,” he warned.
