Addressing Friday prayers in Tehran, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari said the enemy has suffered a “humiliating defeat” in the recent war and subsequent developments and has been reduced to pleading for a way out.
He pointed to contradictory statements by US officials and their confusion over how to deal with the outcome of the confrontation.
The cleric stated that Iran’s enemies have a long record of political and cultural actions against the country, with the latest being the US-Israeli imposed war and the resulting material and human losses.
Haj Ali Akbari stressed that the Iranian people will continue their resistance until they witness the enemies “kneeling” before the world.
The cleric further identified avenging the blood of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the efforts of Iran’s Armed Forces, devastating blows against the enemy, unity within the Resistance Front, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, stronger neighborhood diplomacy, greater domestic unity, and economic resistance as key elements of Iran’s national power and major achievements of the Iranian people and officials in recent months.
