Pezeshkian Voices Iran’s Readiness to Deepen Ties with Bangladesh

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed Tehran’s determination to deepen its longstanding ties with Bangladesh and expand comprehensive bilateral, regional and international cooperation with Dhaka.

Pezeshkian made the remarks in a congratulatory message to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as the 23rd president of Bangladesh, expressing hope that his new presidency would open a new chapter of stability, prosperity and progress for the Bangladeshi people.

The Iranian president said the confidence placed by Bangladesh’s lawmakers and parliamentary representatives in Alamgir’s commitment, foresight and valuable record in establishing and consolidating democracy was promising for the country’s future.

Iran regards the development of its relations with Bangladesh as an opportunity to further strengthen longstanding and brotherly ties and expand cooperation across bilateral, regional and international fields, he added.

Pezeshkian also wished the new Bangladeshi president success in carrying out his important responsibilities and prayed for peace, happiness and prosperity for the people of Bangladesh.
