Adineh was arrested in Mohammadshahr, near Karaj, on January 9 after being found with a handgun, three magazines, 30 rounds of ammunition, two electric stun guns, two tear-gas sprays, a rechargeable chainsaw and bottles of gasoline, according to the authorities.
He was charged with operational activities benefiting hostile groups, the Israeli regime and the United States; moharebeh (war against God and the state) through intentional arson; conspiracy to commit crimes against the country’s internal security; propaganda against the Islamic Republic; and illegal possession of firearms and other weapons.
Judicial investigations and laboratory tests determined that the firearm seized from Adineh had been used in shootings on January 8 and 9. He was also convicted of knowingly participating in gatherings following calls by the Zionist regime, the US and anti-government networks.
The Karaj Revolutionary Court sentenced Adineh to death and ordered the confiscation of his property under legislation concerning espionage and cooperation with the Israeli regime and hostile countries.
The Supreme Court upheld the verdict following his appeal, and the execution was carried out on Sunday morning.
