Araqchi: Iran to Pursue US-Israeli Crimes in International Forums

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tehran will continue documenting the crimes committed by the US and the Zionist regime during their war of aggression against Iran and pursue the issue through international forums, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.

Speaking during a visit to an exhibition commemorating Iranian schoolchildren martyred in a US-Israeli attack in Iran’s southern city of Minab, Araqchi said the Foreign Ministry’s legal department has been actively documenting the crimes committed by Washington and the Israeli regime during the 12-day and 40-day wars, as well as the effects of unjust sanctions.

He said several volumes of evidence have already been compiled and the documentation effort will continue.

Araqchi also highlighted the role of public and cultural diplomacy in conveying Iran’s account of the war to international audiences. He said the Foreign Ministry is prepared to support Iranian artists and help take exhibitions such as the Minab school exhibition abroad, arguing that artistic works can communicate the suffering and sacrifices of the Iranian people more effectively than speeches or written statements.

The foreign minister further criticized the politicization of human rights by Western countries, saying those who genuinely want to understand human rights should see the consequences of the attacks on Iranian civilians and children.

He contrasted the Western response to individual cases in Iran with the failure to issue comparable action over the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, arguing that this demonstrates the political exploitation of human rights.

Araqchi said Iran’s position on human rights is clear, stressing that Tehran believes in human rights “in the true sense of the word” and has consistently defended the rights of the Iranian people.

He added that Iran would continue using diplomatic, legal, cultural and artistic channels to present its case internationally and expose the crimes committed by the US and the Zionist regime.
