Araqchi made the remarks in a post on his X account on Friday, while responding to comments by Acting US Navy Secretary Hung Cao about damage sustained by a key US base in the Middle East following the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
“We appreciate the candor of Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao. Our powerful Armed Forces did indeed ‘blow the hell out of the 5th Fleet HQ in Bahrain,’ as well as other bases supporting US aggression,” Araqchi wrote.
“The American people deserve better than footing the bill for Israel’s wars,” he added.
Araqchi attached a photo to his post showing a headline that reads, “EXCLUSIVE — Navy Evaluating Future at Key Middle East Base Following Iran War Damage: Acting Secretary.”
