Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces, said in a statement that the first operation targeted Aramco in Yanbu with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, causing extensive fires and widespread destruction.
The statement said the second operation targeted the Khamis Mushait air base with a number of ballistic missiles, which the Yemeni forces said scored direct hits.
“We will continue our military operations deep inside Saudi Arabia and target gatherings of Saudi mercenaries, and establish the equation of siege for siege until the aggression stops and the siege ends,” the Yemeni armed forces said, adding,”We will defend our country and people and teach the criminal Saudi enemy lessons it will never forget.”
The statement included that Saudi Arabia had carried out more than 450 airstrikes across Yemen this week, most of them targeting the country’s provinces.
