Israeli Army Radio has released official figures showing that 1,318 Israeli military and security personnel and 1,029 settlers have been killed since the start of the October 2023 war, as the Israeli regime faces mounting losses and a deepening crisis on the third anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Israeli Army Radio published the figures alongside the third anniversary of the October 7 operation by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, providing a statistical account of casualties and losses suffered by the Israeli regime since the outbreak of the war.
According to the report, 1,318 members of the Israeli military and security forces have been killed since the events of October 7.
Meanwhile, 1,029 settlers have been killed, including 778 on October 7 and 251 in the period that followed.
Israeli Army Radio also reported that 251 illegal settlers were captured during the October 7 operation and transferred to the Gaza Strip.
The report said all of them have been returned, while about 40 died during captivity and their bodies were returned to the occupied territories.
The figures further show that about 30,000 Israeli military and security personnel have been wounded since the beginning of the genicadal war, with about 63 percent suffering psychological injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The publication of the figures comes as the Israeli regime continues to face widespread domestic and international criticism over its conduct during the genocidal war on Gaza and amid continued scrutiny of the occupation forces' military performance.
Separately, Israeli media and circles have acknowledged what they describe as failures to achieve the regime's objectives across multiple fronts following the October 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
They have also argued that Israel has failed to secure a strategic victory in the wars that followed, including the two conflicts with Iran.
Israeli media and circles have further described the regime's domestic and international situation as having deteriorated to its lowest levels across various aspects of life.
In this context, Isaac Brik, a prominent Israeli general and former official responsible for handling complaints by the regime's military personnel, warned of a bleak future for Israel in an article titled "Doomsday Scenario" published in the Hebrew-language Maariv newspaper.
"Israel is facing a series of interconnected crises that threaten its future," Isaac Brik said.
Brik added: "Economic collapse brings down all the educational, medical, scientific, technological, academic and infrastructure systems, as well as production and research, and ultimately weakens the army and drives the best talents in various fields to emigrate."
He further said: "When I am asked what awaits us in the future, I answer with a question: Will we even be here in a few years?"
"The continued existence of Israel depends on addressing a wide range of complex and interconnected issues, and some of them are approaching a point of no return," he said.
