In a condolence message issued on Saturday, Pezeshkian expressed sympathy over the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Nosrat Eftekhari, deputy for cultural and social affairs of the Law Enforcement Command in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, who was assassinated in the Cheshmeh Ziarat area of Zahedan.
He extended his condolences to Eftekhari’s family, commanders and personnel of the Law Enforcement Command, her colleagues, and the people of Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Describing the attack as an example of inhumane terrorist crimes, the president said indiscriminate acts of terrorism intended to create insecurity, spread violence and disrupt public peace would achieve nothing beyond shedding the blood of innocent people and exposing the criminal nature of those responsible.
Pezeshkian emphasized that such crimes would not undermine security forces’ resolve to protect the public, reaffirming that the protection of citizens’ security and the fight against terrorism and those responsible for insecurity would continue with determination.
He also called on the relevant authorities to investigate all aspects of the crime urgently and seriously, stressing the need to identify both those who carried it out and those who ordered it as soon as possible.
