In a message released on Monday on the occasion of Civil Defense Week, Araqchi highlighted the role of civil defense in strengthening Iran’s resilience during the two recent wars of aggression imposed by the US and the Zionist regime, saying the country’s resistance and the thwarting of enemy plots have been made possible by the mobilization of military and civilian sectors and the active participation of the Iranian people.
He also emphasized the importance of coordination between the Armed Forces and the Foreign Ministry in protecting Iran’s independence and national standing.
Araqchi noted that this year’s Civil Defense Week is being held under the slogan “People-Centered Civil Defense, A Resilient Iran,” emphasizing the public’s central role in defending the country.
He said the Foreign Ministry would use all its diplomatic and foreign policy capacities to defend Iran politically and legally and protect national interests in line with the guidance of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, stressing that the ministry would spare no effort in this regard.
Araqchi also paid tribute to all martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, particularly martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and congratulated officials and practitioners in the civil defense sector on the occasion, wishing them success in serving the Islamic Republic under the current critical circumstances.
