Iran, Jordan Stress Need to Curb Israeli Expansionism

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Jordan stressed the need for Islamic countries and the international community to take serious action against the continued genocide and expansionism of the Zionist regime.

In a telephone conversation with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi outlined Tehran’s positions on regional developments and emphasized the need for decisive action to counter the Israeli regime’s ongoing genocide and expansionist policies.

Highlighting the devastating regional and global consequences of the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, the Iranian foreign minister said restoring security to the region requires an end to the US’ aggressive and interventionist actions, as well as efforts to rein in the Zionist regime’s expansionism and warmongering.

Araqchi also condemned a terrorist attack on a church in southern Jordan and expressed sympathy with the families of those killed in the incident.

The two foreign ministers underscored the importance of using diplomacy and continuing political consultations to safeguard regional peace and stability.
