Israeli Regime Kills Five Palestinians in Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli occupation forces killed four Palestinians in attacks across the Gaza Strip, while a fifth died of wounds sustained in an earlier assault.

At least two Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli strikes on southern Khan Younis, while another was killed in a drone attack on the central al-Musaddar area, medical sources said.

In Gaza City, an Israeli strike targeting a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood killed Hani Hamed Kahil and wounded five others, according to the Wafa news agency.

Meanwhile, Youssef Abu Younis succumbed to injuries sustained in an Israeli attack on Sunday, bringing the number of Palestinians reported killed on Monday to five.

The Israeli military claimed that it had targeted Palestinian fighters in three separate strikes but provided no further details.

Elsewhere in Gaza City, Israeli forces continued to threaten civilian infrastructure, with three Palestinians wounded when a minibus belonging to a community kitchen was struck in the Zeitoun neighborhood.

The latest killings underscore the continuing bloodshed under the US-backed ceasefire, which has failed to stop the Israeli regime’s attacks or protect Palestinians from the ongoing violence.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,593 Palestinians and wounded 5,748 others since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.

The overall toll from Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has reached at least 74,609 Palestinians killed and 175,872 wounded, highlighting the devastating consequences of the Israeli military campaign and the failure of international efforts to halt it.

Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis is worsening as winter approaches, with hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians struggling to secure adequate shelter after widespread destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure.

Israeli Army Radio reported that Nickolay Mladenov, the high representative of the US-established Board of Peace, arrived in Israel on Monday to seek permission to bring tents into Gaza and push for measures to accelerate reconstruction.

The United Nations migration agency warned on October 9 that nearly 2 million people in Gaza needed shelter assistance and that half of the territory’s tents and makeshift shelters required replacement.

Despite Washington’s claims of advancing a peace initiative, Palestinians remain exposed to Israeli attacks, displacement and increasingly desperate living conditions, while the US-backed arrangements have yet to deliver meaningful protection or reconstruction.
