Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, Iran’s new ambassador to Lebanon, held a meeting with Araqchi in Tehran on Wednesday.
The new envoy presented his proposed program for strengthening relations and cooperation with Lebanon in various fields of mutual interest.
The foreign minister, outlining the significance of Iran-Lebanon relations, emphasized the necessity of efforts to develop and comprehensively expand ties between the two countries.
Prior to his appointment as ambassador to Lebanon, Raouf Sheibani served as the foreign minister’s special representative for Syria affairs.
