Speaking to IRIB on Thursday, Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran’s delegation has arrived in Geneva fully prepared and is ready to continue discussions with determination and seriousness to protect the country’s interests.
He noted that Iran’s positions on both sanctions relief and its nuclear rights and interests have been clearly conveyed to Oman, which is facilitating the dialogue.
The spokesperson stressed that the Iranian delegation is engaging in the talks with full commitment, emphasizing that the discussions are concentrated solely on the nuclear dossier.
On Wednesday night, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi discussed Iran’s positions on nuclear issues and the lifting of sanctions with his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
Separately, Al Busaidi met with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi on Thursday morning. The meeting was part of consultations regarding technical aspects of Iran’s nuclear program and the new ideas being exchanged between the Iranian and US delegations.
