TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian and US negotiating delegations have taken a scheduled break for consultations during the latest round of indirect nuclear talks in Geneva, as the talks are set to resume later this afternoon.

Indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States started today in Geneva, Switzerland, marking the third round of diplomatic engagement mediated by Oman.

A pause has been arranged for consultations between the Iranian and American negotiating delegations. The talks are scheduled to continue later this afternoon following the break.

The negotiations are taking place through Omani mediation, with delegations exchanging positions via Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

In a post on his X account on Thursday, Al Busaidi provided an update on the course of discussions.

“We’ve been exchanging creative and positive ideas in Geneva today, and now both US and Iranian negotiators have adjourned for a break. We’ll resume later today. We hope to make more progress,” the top Omani diplomat said.
