In a statement released on Friday, the IRGC Navy said the vessels transited the strategic waterway after obtaining the necessary authorization and in coordination with its naval forces.
“During the past 24 hours, 35 vessels, including oil tankers, container ships, and other commercial vessels, passed through the Strait of Hormuz after obtaining authorization, with coordination and security provided by the IRGC Navy,” the statement said.
It added that despite insecurity created in the Strait of Hormuz following the aggression of the “terrorist US military,” the IRGC Navy had established a safe waterway for shipping and the continuation of global trade.
