The announcement was made through the authority’s official account on the social media platform X in a post released on May 18.
“In the Name of God; The official X account of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (#PGSA) is now live,” the post said.
“Follow us for real‑time updates on the #Hormuz_Strait operations and latest developments,” it added.
The announcement comes amid growing regional and international attention on navigation and security issues in the strategic waterway, one of the world’s most important energy transit routes.
The recent US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran has disrupted shipping and navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and contributed to rising insecurity across the region.
