Emergency and medical teams from Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences immediately arrived at the scene following the US attack on the Tappe Allah neighborhood and began rescue and treatment operations, Tasnim’s correspondent reported from Bandar Abbas.

According to the latest information, the attack resulted in the martyrdom of one woman and increased the number of wounded to eight.

Further reports indicated that the deceased woman’s one-year-old child was also severely injured in the blast. The child’s hand was amputated, and shrapnel injuries to the chest left the infant in critical condition.

Of the eight wounded people, seven sustained injuries from the blast wave, while another suffered fractures to the limbs.

The attack was part of a wider wave of US strikes on Iran’s southern Hormozgan Province, which Iranian officials said caused civilian casualties and damage to vital infrastructure.

The attacks carried out late Thursday night and early Friday targeted several areas across Hormozgan Province, killing at least eight people and injuring 19 others, while damaging key communication infrastructure, including six bridges.

One of the heaviest attacks occurred along the Bandar Abbas–Lar route and in the Kahurestan area of Bandar Khamir County, where several bridges were hit and destroyed. A vehicle traveling on one of the damaged bridges fell after the structure was struck, killing seven people and injuring nine others.

Other targets included the Bandar Abbas railway junction, where two people were wounded, as well as areas in Qeshm Island’s Masan village, Bandar Lengeh and Sirik County, where explosions and projectile impacts were reported.

Iran’s Ministry of Health has said that since the beginning of the July war, US attacks had resulted in more than 400 wounded and 38 Iranian deaths as of 6:30 am on July 17. The ministry said the casualties included 22 injured women, three women killed, nine injured people under the age of 18, and one person under 18 who was killed. It added that 47 injured people remain hospitalized and in need of medical care.
