According to reports, the US attacks late Thursday night and early Friday targeted several locations across Hormozgan, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to transportation infrastructure.

One of the heaviest attacks occurred along the Bandar Abbas–Lar communication route and in the Kahurestan area of Bandar Khamir County, where several bridges were struck and destroyed.

Following the destruction of one of the bridges, a passing vehicle fell from the damaged structure, killing seven people and injuring nine others.

In another attack targeting the Tappe Allah neighborhood of Bandar Abbas, one civilian was martyred and eight others were wounded.

The Bandar Abbas railroad junction was also targeted, leaving two people injured.

Field reports indicated that several explosions occurred in the vicinity of Masan village on Qeshm Island. Impacts from projectiles were also reported in areas of Bandar Lengeh and Sirik County.

The Hormozgan Governor’s Office announced that several major bridges in Bandar Khamir County had been damaged and urged residents to avoid using affected routes until further notice.

According to the provincial authorities, the damaged structures include the Gariveh Bridge on the Bandar Abbas–Bandar Khamir–Lar route, the bridge after Latidan village on the return route, two bridges on the Kahurestan–Lar route, an unfinished bridge on the Bandar Khamir–Keshar–Bandar Abbas road, and the Maru village bridge in Bandar Khamir County.

The governor’s office asked people to avoid damaged roads, use alternative routes, and keep access open for rescue teams, police forces, and firefighters to facilitate emergency operations.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Ministry of Health said the overall number of casualties from US attacks since the start of the July war has surpassed 400 wounded, with 38 Iranians martyred as of 6:30 am on July 17.

The ministry’s Public Relations Center chief said in a post on social media that among the casualties were 22 injured women, three martyred women, nine injured people under the age of 18, and one person under 18 who was martyred. He added that 47 injured people remain hospitalized and called on the public to pray for their recovery.
