Palestinian Group Says Israel Waging Full-Scale ‘Terrorist War’ against Palestinians

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) on Sunday condemned Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, saying Palestinians are witnessing a new wave of organized Israeli terrorism against their people.

In a statement, the group said the Israeli regime’s government under prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had responded to the ceasefire agreement by intensifying attacks and was using Palestinian blood to serve its domestic objectives.

The PFLP described the latest Israeli strikes on Gaza as “horrific” and said they amounted to a full-scale war crime.

“The horrific massacres and widespread aggression carried out by the Zionist war machine since the early hours of the morning in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of people and targeted entire families, most of them children and women, constitute a full-scale war crime and a new wave of organized Zionist terrorism against our Palestinian people,” the group said.

The movement added that the escalation showed that Netanyahu’s regime was responding to the recent agreement with further killings and aggression, while refusing to honor its ceasefire commitments.

It said the developments demonstrated Israel’s alleged efforts to undermine the truce and continue a policy of destruction, starvation and collective punishment against Palestinians, using Palestinian lives as “fuel” for internal political and electoral calculations.

Meanwhile, the PFLP called on mediators and guarantor countries involved in the ceasefire agreement to take immediate action and exert pressure on the Israeli government to halt the attacks and implement all provisions of the deal.

“We call on the mediators and the countries guaranteeing the agreement to intervene as quickly and effectively as possible and exert serious pressure on the criminal Zionist government to immediately end its aggression and compel it to implement all provisions of the agreement. We also call on the international community to end its silence and complicity and take urgent action to stop these ongoing crimes against our people,” the group said.

According to reports, Israel carried out several assassination operations and drone strikes in different areas of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing nearly 20 Palestinians, a relatively high number during the ceasefire period.
