According to the ministry, the latest casualties raise the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli regime’s war on Gaza in October 2023, to 73,349, while the number of wounded has climbed to 174,162.
The ministry added that since a ceasefire was announced on Oct. 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,222 Palestinians and injured 4,053 others, despite the truce.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said on Friday that it and other Palestinian factions had engaged responsibly and positively with negotiations and proposals presented by mediators to complete the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, Hamas stressed that implementation of the second phase remains conditional on the Israeli occupation regime honoring all of its obligations under the first phase of the agreement.
The movement said the Palestinian factions’ position reflects a national consensus and a shared commitment to protecting the Palestinian people, addressing urgent humanitarian needs, and safeguarding Palestinian national rights.
Hamas said ending the Israeli occupation regime’s ongoing massacres and military aggression is the essential first step toward implementing the agreement and establishing a framework and timetable for carrying out the remaining provisions.
The movement reiterated that the second phase of the agreement cannot move forward unless the Israeli occupation regime fully complies with every provision of the first phase.
