According to Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the proposed route is being examined in response to requests from Oman and flydubai to facilitate and improve air traffic flows and attract more aviation traffic to southern Iran.
The ministry said the proposed route was reviewed during a coordination meeting with the aim of meeting operational requirements, improving air traffic flows and creating better conditions for flights covered by the requests.
The measure is also intended to improve air traffic flow management, increase the efficiency of Iran’s air-route network and meet the operational needs of users of the country’s airspace, the ministry said.
