The Civil Aviation Organization announced that part of the country’s airspace has been reopened as of 7:00 am on Saturday, April 18.

In a statement, the organization said that following the closure of Iran’s airspace in the wake of the US-Israeli war of aggression and after directives issued by relevant authorities, the matter was reviewed in the national civil-military coordination committee (CMC) from both security and safety perspectives.

"Accordingly, and based on a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), the country’s airspace and a number of airports have been reopened starting at 7:00 am on April 18. Air routes in the eastern section of Iran’s airspace are now open for international flights transiting through Iranian skies," the statement said.

The Civil Aviation Organization also stated that flight operations at the country’s airports will be gradually resumed, based on the technical and operational readiness of military and civilian sectors, in order to provide passenger services to citizens.
