Gaza Authorities Warn Parents As Israeli Regime Threatens to Kill Children Who Fly Kites

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Local committees in Gaza warned parents against allowing their children to fly kites after the Israeli regime threatened to kill children for doing so in the besieged enclave.

World

“We are working tirelessly on the ground and doing everything possible to stop this practice, not to restrict the childhood of our children, who have already been deprived of the most ‌basic rights to play and live in safety, but to protect their innocent lives,” the committees said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Israeli war minister Israel Katz said in a post on X on Monday that “powerful actions” would be taken to stop children from flying kites in Gaza.

The threat comes despite the absence of evidence that the kites currently being flown in Gaza are carrying explosive devices.

The Israeli regime has previously cited kites and balloons launched from Gaza as a security concern.

Hamas has condemned the Israeli regime for “making fake pretexts to continue the war on Gaza”.
