Israeli Regime Intensifies Raids, Arrests and Settler Attacks across West Bank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli regime forces have intensified raids, arrests and restrictions across the occupied West Bank, detaining Palestinians in Jenin and Bethlehem while Israeli settlers, backed by soldiers, attacked Palestinian homes and property in several areas.

In Jenin, Israeli forces arrested three Palestinians, including a woman and two men, during raids across the city and surrounding governorate.

Wafa reported that Adwan al-Krouz and his mother were arrested during a raid on a shelter housing people displaced from the Jenin refugee camp, which the Israeli army has forcibly emptied.

Israeli forces also arrested Mohammad Nasser al-Saadi during a separate raid in eastern Jenin.

The arrests came after Israeli military forces deployed across Jenin governorate and searched several Palestinian homes.

The Israeli regime’s operations also extended to Bethlehem, where soldiers detained Karim Asakra at the Container military checkpoint east of the city, according to a security source cited by Wafa.

Meanwhile, an Israeli settler entered the property of the Swaieq family in Khalayel al-Luz, southeast of Bethlehem, with sheep, vandalised belongings and damaged surrounding trees.

Elsewhere, Israeli forces raided Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Al-Quds, on Saturday, entering Airport Street and the Institute area while firing live ammunition and stun grenades near the entrance of the nearby Qalandiya refugee camp.

The raids continued in northern parts of the occupied West Bank, where Israeli military vehicles entered Nazla al-Sharqiya and Qaffin, north of Tulkarem, at dawn.

Wafa, citing local sources, reported that the vehicles moved through the streets while soldiers carried out searches and sweeps, although no arrests were reported.

The latest operations were accompanied by further settler attacks and movement restrictions across the West Bank.

Israeli settlers attacked the home of a Palestinian in Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, damaging property and erecting a tent near nearby Palestinian homes under the protection of Israeli forces, according to Quds News Network and Wafa.

In Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, Israeli forces sealed the village’s access routes, preventing residents from entering or leaving, while settlers provoked Palestinians on nearby farmland.

South of Bethlehem, settlers backed by Israeli soldiers entered Khalet a-Nahlah and beat a Palestinian resident.

When neighbours attempted to intervene, Israeli troops fired tear gas and stun grenades, causing multiple inhalation injuries.

The incidents form part of a broader wave of Israeli military raids, arrests, restrictions and settler attacks reported across Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank.
