He described development of ties with South Africa as one of the Islamic Republic’s priorities and said Iran is ready to welcome Zuma in Tehran.

The South African president, for his part, expressed the hope that he can pay a visit to Iran at the earliest opportunity.

Zuma further hailed the efforts made by the two countries’ foreign ministries aimed at developing bilateral ties.

The Iranian diplomat also met with South Africa’s foreign minister on the sideline of the summit.
