Captain Ehsan Hajsafi opened the scoring for Team Melli in the 33rd minute from the penalty spot after AZ winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh was fouled into the area
Sardar Azmoun found the back of the net just after the hour mark and Hajsafi scored once again from the penalty spot in the 66th minute.
In the 78th minute, Jahanbakhsh made it 4-0 after dribbling past an Indian defender in the area.
Iran stays Group D leader with 17 points ahead of its final match against Oman on March 29.
India remains fifth with just three points. The team is scheduled to meet Turkmenistan on March 29.
