Mostafa Kiani gave Team Melli the lead and Mohammad Masoumizadeh and Hamid Behzadpour made it 3-0.
Paporotnyi pulled a goal back but Masoumizadeh was on target once again to lead Iran 4-1.
With five minutes remaining, Paporotnyi scored Russia’s second goal.
