Endorsement Ceremony of Iran’s Next President Raeisi to Be Held in Presence of Leader

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The endorsement ceremony of Iran’s President-elect Ebrahim Raeisi will be held on Tuesday in the presence of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

In the ceremony, slated for Tuesday, August 3, Raeisi will officially become the 8th president of the Islamic Republic.

The gathering will be attended by Ayatollah Khamenei and other senior Iranian authorities at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniya in Tehran.

It will start at 10:30 am local time in compliance with the coronavirus health protocols.

Ayatollah Khamenei is going to deliver a speech in the ceremony after comments from the outgoing interior minister and the new president.

President-elect Raeisi will take oath before the parliament after endorsement of his presidency by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

The former Judiciary chief of Iran won the June 18 presidential election by winning nearly 62 percent of the votes.
