The agreement was signed by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and PUIC Secretary General Muhammad Qureshi Nias at a meeting in Tehran on Monday.
The two sides also discussed various issues such as parliamentary cooperation among the member states of the headquarters, the issue of Palestine, and Western conspiracies against Islamic countries.
Amirabdollahian pointed to the importance of the role of the parliaments of Islamic countries in the process of legislation and creating a unified process among member states.
He also thanked the secretariat of the PIUC for condemning a recent terrorist attack on Shah-e Cheragh Shrine in Iran’s Shiraz.
For his part, Muhammad Qureshi Nias thanked Iran for its aid to the PIUC and for accepting to host its headquarters.
