Iran’s Trade Exchanges with 10 Trade Partners Hit $88 Billion in 11 Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s trade exchanges with its 10 trader partners in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023 to February 24, 2024) reached $88 billion.

Some 136 million tons of goods, valued at $88 billion, were exchanged between Iran and its 10 trade partners in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year.   

Iran’s trade exchanges with China, Afghanistan, Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan and Oman in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year registered a considerable hike in terms of volume and value respectively, IRNA reported.

In this timespan, Iran had the maximum trade exchanges with Russia, showing a 54 and 24 percent hike in volume and value respectively.

Also, Iran’s trade exchanges with India registered a 20 percent hike in volume between March 21, 2023, and February 22, 2024.

China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, Russia, Oman, Germany and Afghanistan were Iran’s top 10 trade partners in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year, accounting for 84 percent of the country’s total value of the trade exchanges, Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said.
