In a meeting with the crown prince and prime minister of Saudi Arabia, held in Riyadh on Wednesday, Araqchi pointed to the regional developments and his consultations during recent visits to Lebanon and Syria, calling for joint cooperation among all regional countries and the employment of all capacities to put an immediate end to the Israeli regime’s military onslaught on Gaza and Lebanon.
The Iranian foreign minister described action against the Zionist regime’s crimes and an urgent cessation of war in the region as the prerequisites for sustainable regional stability and security.
Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to the policy of good neighborliness, Araqchi said Tehran will continue to enhance its relations and promote economic cooperation with the neighboring states in order to strengthen regional stability, security and welfare.
For his part, the Saudi crown prince voiced deep concern about the escalation of crisis and the spread of war in the region, stressing the need for all countries to safeguard regional security and stability.
Mohammed bin Salman also expressed satisfaction with the process of implementation of the agreements between Riyadh and Tehran during the past year, hailed the tangible improvement in the bilateral relations, and expressed Saudi Arabia’s determination to proceed with this course.
The two officials finally highlighted the importance of cooperation and consultations on the bilateral and regional affairs.
